You made the heavens . . . the earth
and all that is on it.
—Nehemiah 9:6
Genesis 1 reveals the beginning of everything except God.
God is “from everlasting to everlasting” (Ps 90:2)—or as The Living Bible has it, “without beginning or end.”
He created “all his heavenly hosts . . . sun and moon . . . shining stars” (Ps 148:1–5). He is the maker of thunder, clouds, lightning, rain, and wind (Jer 10:13).
Humans can erect buildings, but they can’t create that tree outside your window.
Join the praise of the Revelator: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being” (Rv 4:11).
Enjoy the creation. Praise the Creator.
