[God] is able to do immeasurably
more than all we ask or imagine.
—Ephesians 3:20
When we put our confidence in planning, we reap what planning can do. When we put our confidence in programs, we reap what programs can do. When we put our confidence in leadership, we reap what leadership can do. When we put our confidence in talent, we reap what talent can do.
But when we put our confidence in prayer, we reap what God can do.
Planning, programs, leadership, and talent all have their place—everything we do in kingdom work should be done properly and orderly (1 Cor 14:40). But what God alone can do should never be eliminated from church planning.
We aren’t equal in capability—but we are equal in prayer power. The prayers of the least talented and the most talented in your church reach the ears of God at the same volume.
Never underestimate the power of your prayers.
