Bear one another’s burdens.
—Galatians 6:2
Name a person in your church who you’re always happy to see.
I bet it’s someone who has mastered the “one another” verses in the New Testament. There are more than fifty of them. Here’s a sampling.
- Be at peace with one another (Mk 9:50).
- Love one another (Jn 13:34).
- Be devoted to one another (Rom 12:10).
- Live in harmony with one another (Rom 12:16).
- Care for one another (1 Cor 12:25).
- Serve one another (Gal 5:13).
- Be patient with one another (Eph 4:2).
- Be kind to one another (Eph 4:32).
- Submit to one another (Eph 5:21).
- Bear with one another (Col 3:13).
- Encourage one another (1 Thes 5:11).
- Pray for one another (Jas 5:16).
Check the ones where you’re doing well. The unchecked ones will tell you where you need to do some work.
On your part, be sure church
is a place where love prevails.
