Turn to God . . . that times of refreshing may come.
—Acts 3:19
Remember the Old Milwaukee beer commercial, “It doesn’t get any better than this”? After a day of fishing—away from jobs, wives, and kids—four guys are sitting around swigging suds. One of them says, “It doesn’t get any better than this.”
Yeah, it does.
Peter presented a grand promise: Repent and turn to God and all your sins will be canceled, followed by times of spiritual refreshing until Christ’s return (Acts 3:19–21).
We’re living in the period between our conversion and our transition to heaven—a period Peter called “times of refreshing.” With the certainty of the cancellation of our sins, we spend the remainder of our days in times of refreshing until Jesus comes to take us to our eternal home.
It doesn’t get any better than this.
When you commit to Jesus,
you win now and forever.
