Do not forget to do good
and to share with others.
—Hebrews 13:16
Righteous Among the Nations is an area of the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Israel, which honors those who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from extermination.
When visiting the memorial, Lisa Samra met a group from the Netherlands. One of the ladies pointed to two names on a plaque, Pieter and Adriana Müller, her grandparents. She told Lisa that they had rescued a two-year-old Jewish boy by passing him off as their child.
“Did the little boy survive?” Lisa asked. An elderly gentleman stepped up and said, “I am that boy.”
What you’re doing and giving is life-changing for someone. When you get home, someone may step up to you and say, “Do you remember when you . . . ? I am the person you helped.”
You are making a difference.
