The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous.
—Psalm 34:15
“The Old Man of the Mountain” was a forty-foot tall, twenty-five-foot wide, granite face, sculpted by nature on Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire. The face collapsed and tumbled to the ground on May 3, 2003. The landmark had been in New Hampshire’s DNA since 1805; its demise was like a death in the family to many residents of the Granite State.
In every life, there are times when a dependable presence vanishes. Someone or something we relied on is gone: a loved one, a job, our health.
But there is one always-dependable presence: “I will never leave you or abandon you” (Heb 13:5). God said that.
The eyes of many were on “The Old Man of the Mountain.” The eyes of the Lord are on you (Ps 34:15).
Double vision: God has his eyes on you;
keep your eyes on Jesus.
