What are . . . mere humans
that you should care for us?
—Psalm 8:4
“Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them” (Gn 15:5). An allegedly authoritative report claims that the universe has 350-billion galaxies, home to 30-billion-trillion stars.
“[God] knows how many there are and calls each one by name!” (Is 40:26). That’s the big picture.
Here’s the little picture: “Not a single sparrow falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge” (Mt 10:29).
God knows about every star. And he knows about that dead bird in your driveway.
You mean more to him than either.
He knows all about you. He knows when you sit and when you stand. He knows your thoughts before you think them and your words before you speak them (Ps 139:1–4).
How great is our God!
Your ministry is not about what God will help YOU DO;
it’s about what GOD IS DOING through you.
