Too Sinful to Be Saved?

Christ Jesus came into
the world to save sinners.
       —1 Timothy 1:15

Do you know anyone who thinks they’ve been too sinful to be saved?

Let a man who considered himself the worst of sinners tell you his story . . .

“I persecuted the followers of [the Lord’s] Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison . . . and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them . . . [I] intensely persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it . . . I was the worst sinner of all” (Acts 22:4; 26:10; Gal 1:13; 1 Tim 1:15).

Those are the words of the apostle Paul. And here are his words to those who feel they’ve been too sinful to be saved: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Tm 1:15).

You’re special. Jesus came from heaven
to earth because he thought so much of you.
