Run your race to win.
—1 Corinthians 9:24
You are in the race of your life. The stakes are high, and the prize is priceless.
“In a race, everyone runs but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win. To win the contest you must deny [yourself] many things that would keep you from doing your best. An athlete goes to all this trouble just to win a blue ribbon or a silver cup, but [you] do it for a heavenly reward that never disappears” (1 Cor 9:24–25).
“Strip off anything that slows [you] down or holds [you] back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around [your] feet and trip [you] up” (Heb 12:1).
You’re closer to the finish line than you’ve ever been, and getting closer with every step. Don’t stop now!
Run to win!
Resolve that quitting isn’t an option.
