Today is the day for you to
choose whom you will serve.
—Joshua 24:15
When the angel told the shepherds that the Savior had been born in Bethlehem and that they would find him lying in a manger, the implied message was, “Go see the baby.”
Would they go? They had a decision to make. “Let’s go to Bethlehem,” they said. “So they hurried off” (Lk 2:15, 16).
When Jesus said to Matthew, “Follow me,” Matthew had a decision to make. He made a good decision (Mt 9:9).
When Jesus said to the rich young man, “Follow me,” he had a decision to make. He made a bad decision (Mt 19:22).
When Jesus said to the adulteress, “leave your life of sin,” she had a decision to make. She made an unknown decision.
When you hear his voice, it’s a critical moment. You have a decision to make.
Knowing the right choice isn’t the
same as making the right choice.
