The hour has come for you to
wake up from your slumber.
—Romans 13:11
Movies have an advantage: if a scene doesn’t go well, no problem; reshoot it—as many times as it takes to get it perfect. Real life doesn’t offer that option.
Here’s something you’ve said more than once: “If I had it to do over again . . .”
Erma Bombeck wrote: “If I had my life to live over again . . . There would have been more I love yous . . . more I’m sorrys . . . more I’m listening . . . but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute of it and never give that minute back until there was nothing left of it.”
There’ll be no second-time-around for this day. So make the most of it while it’s here.
Today is a memory in the making.
Make it a good one.
