Come and share your master’s happiness!
—Matthew 25:23
Jesus pitched a parable about a rich man who packed his bags, consigned his property to three servants, and headed out the door.
When he returned and reviewed their Reports, he scorched one, but praised two: “Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Mt. 25:21, 23 ASV).
The joy of thy lord:
Joy unsullied by sorrow. No death, no pain, no tears (Rv 21:4).
Joy that use of the talents he has given has been noted and rewarded.
Joy of expanded activity: because you’ve been faithful over a few things, I’ll set you over many things.
Joy of being home and laughing with Jesus.
Heaven is your destination.
Don’t get distracted and miss a turn.
