[Y]our sincere faith, which first lived in your
grandmother . . . and in your mother.
—2 Timothy 1:5
There will be a final harvest, Jesus said; the weeds will be burned, and the wheat put in the barn (Mt 13:30).
When this planet pulls into its last terminal, our trip won’t be over; we’ll then board the bus to our final stop—paradise or perdition (Mt. 13:49–50; Mt. 25:31–46).
That destination will be determined by our relationship with Jesus: “Whoever has the Son has life, but whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 Jn 5:12); “Salvation is found in no one else . . .” (Acts 4:12).
Before moving on to the demands of this day, take a moment to thank God for those who taught you about Jesus. They made an eternal difference for you.
Those who taught you gave you
a gift you’ll be unwrapping for eternity.
