Be joyful always; pray continually;
give thanks in all circumstances.
—1 Thessalonians 5:16
Sometimes you get slammed by a train wreck over which you have no control: divorce, disease, death.
But you have control over your thoughts. A flash of anger or lust may pop in, but you are able to flip the switch and turn off those toxic intrusions. Take control, “because your thoughts run your life” (Prv 4:23 NCV).
If you want to be happy tomorrow, think positively today—be optimistic, cheerful, grateful. You set the table for an unhappy tomorrow when you wallow in the negative mud of self-pity today.
Healthy thinking is as important as healthy eating. You are what you eat. And you are what you think.
You control your thinking
or your thinking controls you.
