[E]ven the very hairs of
your head are all numbered.
—Matthew 10:30
God is interested in the smallest details of your life. You don’t have a clue how many hairs are pushing through your scalp, do you? (The average is about 140,000.) Your Father knows your exact count.
Not only does he know the total count, he knows the number of each hair. The text doesn’t say the hairs of your head are counted—it says they are numbered. Bible scholars—including Lenski, Wiersbe, and Zodhiates—assert the language means each hair is numbered. When a hair falls from your scalp, God knows precisely which one it is—number 14,754. He knows you down to every single hair on your head.
Nothing is too big for him to tackle, and nothing about you is too small for him to care about.
There’s a lot you don’t know about God.
There’s nothing God doesn’t know about you.
