Not one of all the good promises
the Lord your God gave you has failed.
—Joshua 23:14
People sometimes make promises they fail to keep. When God makes a promise he always keeps it.
We choose to believe—or not believe—his promises and him who makes them.
We’ve turned a crucial corner when we trust God’s promises; we’re heading the right direction when we believe God is up to something good, even when everything looks bad.
Trouble intrudes . . . but God says, “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Cor 12:9).
Worry harasses . . . but God says, “Cast all your anxiety on me” (1 Pt 5:7).
Guilt torments . . . but God says, “I will remember your sins no more” (Heb 10:17).
When we strike our stride with but God says we’re on the way to victory.
Trust his promises
and your doubts will starve.
