Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?
—Isaiah 6:8
You’re being pulled in a dozen directions by people and projects wanting—sometimes demanding—your time and attention.
Life is zipping by more rapidly than you ever imagined. You alone can decide how you’re going to invest it. There are words that need to be spoken that won’t be spoken unless you speak them; things that need to be done that won’t be done unless you do them. You have to sort through the maze and make decisions.
Most important, you must listen for God’s voice in reaching those decisions.
Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord asking, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
Isaiah said, “Here am I. Send me!”
And God said, “Go . . . ”
We hear God’s voice only when
we turn down the world’s volume.
