Everyone who looks to the Son and
believes in him shall have eternal life.
—John 6:40
Etymologist Fredd Culbertson compiled a list of 537 phobias, from A to Z—ablutophobia to zoophobia.
Just for grins try wrapping your tongue around this one: hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. Fear of long words. Really.
It’s a rare bird that has arachibutyrophobia, fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.
Not so rare are those who have atychiphobia, fear of failure.
But you don’t have that fear, for you are immensely successful. You made the right decision about what really counts—committed all you are and have to Jesus, the way, the truth, the life; the only way to the Father (Jn. 14:6).
Worldly success is gratifying, but has little lasting value.
But look at you! Perched on the center podium with the Gold dangling from your neck. Your success is the real deal.
Material success and spiritual
success have little in common.
