When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the
paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
—Mark 2:5
Someone had to bathe him, shave him, brush his teeth, dress him. He was paralyzed from head to toe.
Four of his friends carried him to the house where Jesus was holding forth, but it was packed wall-to-wall. So the quartet of cot-carriers got creative: razing the roof, they lowered their paralyzed pal, putting him right in front of Jesus.
Jesus healed him—don’t miss this—not because of his faith, but because of theirs: “When Jesus saw their faith” he healed him.
Do your prayers matter? You bet they do!
There are times when good things happen to others because of your faith. Don’t deny them those blessings by failing to intercede for them.
Intercession puts those you
pray for right in front of Jesus.
