Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.
—Hebrews 4:7
Why did Jesus ask so many questions? Perhaps because a question does something a lecture usually doesn’t—it calls for a response.
Here are some more questions Jesus asked.
(Numbering begins where we left off yesterday.)
22. Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? (Lk. 17:17)
23. Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones? (Lk. 18:7)
24. When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? (Lk. 18:8)
25. Why are you sleeping? (Lk. 22:46)
26. Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your mind? (Lk. 24:38)
27. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? (Jn. 3:12)
28. Do you want to get well? (Jn. 5:6)
An honest answer to a hard question
has turned many a person to God.
