Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart.
—Jeremiah 1:5
You can hide your thoughts from people—even those closest to you—but you can’t hide them from God.
You can do and say things that deceive people—even those closest to you—but you can’t do or say anything that deceives God.
Don’t you find it breathtaking that he knows all the twisted things about you that your fellow humans—even those closest to you—do not know, and that he loves you anyway?
Life becomes astonishingly beautiful when you realize that you spend every moment of it with the assurance that God loves you so much that he made the greatest sacrifice ever in order to have you with him forever.
You are forgiven, not because you deserve it,
but because God loves you that much.
