Rap, rap, rap! Rap, rap, rap!! Rap, rap, rap!!!
“Who’s knocking on my door … it’s midnight for cryin’ out loud!”
“Hey neighbor, it’s me. I need a little help here. I have an unexpected house guest at my place. My pantry is empty and there’s nothing in the fridge. I need to borrow some grub.”
“Knock it off! The kids are asleep. Go away!”
Rap, rap, rap! Rap, rap, rap!! Rap, rap, rap!!!
“Paper or plastic?”
Jesus said, “If you keep knocking long enough he will get up and give you everything you want—just because of your persistence. And so it is with prayer—keep on asking and you will keep on getting; keep on looking and you will keep on finding; knock and the door will be opened” (Lk. 11:8-10 TLB).
Persistent prayer gets God’s attention.
