Having been justified by his grace.
—Titus 3:7
Just think of it! You have been justified—proclaimed innocent; declared righteous.
“How can that be?” you ask; “I have sinned.”
Yes you have. “All have sinned,” Paul wrote … but then rushed on to say, “and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” He “justifies those who have faith in Jesus” (Rom. 3: 23, 24, 26).
God ran his finger down the page, stopped at your name, and beside it wrote, NOT GUILTY! JUSTIFIED!
Let it roll off your tongue … By his grace, I have been justified.
Let it electrify your brain … By his grace, I have been justified.
You can’t make it on merit;
that’s why God invented grace.
