You are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you.
—Psalm 25:5
It was at the top of the news … four teenagers lives snuffed in a head-on collision.
Can you think of any explanation that would console that quartet of grieving parents?
Faith is put to the test when you face the dilemma of reconciling heaven’s love with earth’s tragedies.
How can you believe in a loving God when the 10 o’clock news shrieks murder and misery?
How do you hang on to your faith when your world is falling apart in spite of all you can do?
You do it by hanging on to hope; holding fast to heavenly hope when it makes no earthly sense. Like Abraham: “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed” (Rom. 4:18).
Keep a tight grip on hope. You’ll ride out this storm.
Hope begins in the dark
and ushers in the dawn.
