He cares for you.
—1 Peter 5:7
Humans are sometimes thoughtless. Even cruel. What words come to mind when you think about how people treat each other? These perhaps?
Ignored
Neglected
Rejected
Abandoned
Abused
None of these words define God’s dealings with you. He loves you; wants your company; thinks about you constantly.
If you are a parent, you think about your child every day. If your mother is still living it’s a safe bet that she thinks about you every day.
But God thinks about you even more—not just every day, but every minute of every day. He is always thinking about you (1 Pet. 5:7 TLB).
He is thinking about you this very second, while you’re reading this sentence. Doesn’t that just take your breath away?
He doesn’t think about you from time to time;
he thinks about you all the time.
