Do not be anxious about anything.
—Philippians 4:6
Has anyone ever looked you in the eye and said, “I don’t believe you!”?
How did it make you feel? Angry? Insulted? Hurt?
When God makes a promise, our response is belief or unbelief.
Anxiety is a dead giveaway of unbelief.
God says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart … and he will direct your paths” (Prov. 3:5-6).
Anxiety says, “I don’t believe you.”
God says, “In all things God works for the good of those who love him” (Rom. 8:28).
Anxiety says, “I don’t believe you.”
God says, “I will meet all your needs” (Phil. 4:19).
Anxiety says, “I don’t believe you.”
God says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Heb. 13:5).
Anxiety says, “I don’t believe you.”
Faith and anxiety can’t occupy
the same heart at the same time.
