Run in such a way as to get the prize.
—1 Corinthians 9:24
You are in a race where the stakes are high and the prize is priceless …
“Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever” (1 Cor. 9:24-25).
So “… let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Heb. 12:1).
You are in the race of your life; closer to the finish line than you have ever been, and getting nearer with every step. It will be over before you know it. Run to win.
Resolve that quitting isn’t an option.
