The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him.
—Nahum 1:7
Arthur Rank decided to do all of his worrying on Wednesdays. When he was worried, he wrote a note specifying what was troubling him and dropped it in his worry box, dismissing it until Wednesday. When Wednesday rolled around Arthur opened the box, pored over his notes—and found that most of the things he had worried about had already been resolved.
Corrie ten Boom said that when she worried she looked in the mirror and said, “This problem has no solution. I can’t handle it. Furthermore, it’s too big for Jesus to handle.” She always smiled at the absurdity of the last sentence, and her worry evaporated.
What are you worrying about? Got a mirror?
If it won’t matter a year from now
don’t worry about it.
