There is nothing better for men than to
be happy and do good while they live.
—Ecclesiastes 3:12
“What makes people happy?” Robert Blondin asked 600 people that question. The three answers that ranked highest were: doing good, controlling attitude, and being thankful.
Here are some things you can do to make this a very good day:
Identify some simple pleasure that you have been taking for granted.
Be determined to enjoy your work; embrace it with a smile, not a frown.
Be kind and considerate, even if others aren’t.
Do something nice for someone without expectation of thanks or reward.
Spend no time or thought regretting the past.
Be positive and cheerful. All day.
Let no one leave your presence
without being better and feeling happier.
