I will not forget you.
—Isaiah 49:15
The prophet asked, “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?” Unlikely, but possible.
A Pennsylvania mom dropped her two children off at school, drove away, and disappeared for 11 years. Not once in those 11 years did she make any effort to contact her children.
That will never happen with God. “Though she may forget, I will not forget you!”
God determined your place and purpose before you were born.
Before I was born the Lord called me (Isa. 49:1).
Before you were born I set you apart (Jer. 1:5).
God … set me apart from birth (Gal. 1:15).
God doesn’t have another child like you. You are special to him. And he will never forget you.
It’s your turn. Give to God what he cannot receive from anyone else: you.
He won’t forget you …
don’t forget him.
