You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
—Psalm 139:3
The hurricane-tracking graphic commonly seen on TV is cone-shaped. The point of the cone—the hurricane’s present location—is out in the ocean. From that small point the cone’s sides taper out and up until they define the possible area of landfall.
When we see that graphic, we look at the big picture—the many cities the storm may hit, the hundreds of homes it may destroy, the thousands of lives it may claim.
God narrows the focus. He sees each home; each individual.
God sees you! He knows your name and address. He knows when you’re facing a life-storm, and is there to help you through it.
God loves you as if you were his only child.
