You made the heavens … and all their starry host,
the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them.
—Nehemiah 9:6
Genesis 1 tells about the beginning of everything except God. God is “from everlasting to everlasting” (Psalm 90:2)—or as The Living Bible has it, “without beginning or end.”
He created “all his heavenly hosts … sun and moon … shining stars” (Psalm 148:1-5). He is the maker of thunder, clouds, lightning, rain, and wind (Jeremiah 10:13).
Humans can build buildings. But they can’t build that tree outside your window.
Join the praise pictured by the Revelator: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being” (Revelation 4:11).
Enjoy the creation. Praise the Creator.
